Despite the claim that this NVR is supplied with an adaptor (plug-in power supply), it isn't - at least mine wasn't. I contacted Hiseeu help who supplied one promptly. If you obtain one from another source ensure it's rated at 2 amps. This NVR won't work correctly with a 1 amp PSU. Apart from this, I am so far very pleased. I was particularly taken with the simplicity and speed of adding cameras which can be done direct to the camera or via one's wireless router hub. In fact you can have both ways connected similtaneously but this will take-up two channels. Another plus for me was being able to fully control pan, tilt and zoom (PTZ) from the NVR. This cuts out subtantially the need for a mobile or tablet with the app installed which causes camera to app/NVR connection problems - based on my findings, if you use the app, you'll only be able to connect the camera to the NVR via your wireless router and not direct.A few words of warning. Take absolutely no notice of the enclosed instruction sheet that comes with this NVR. For example: it tells you to use an ethernet cable beween the camera and NVR in order to connect. It will, but as soon as you disconnect the cable you'll lose the connection. I regret that this advice should also be considered if seeking help from Hiseeu. I sometimes wonder if the people used to man these technical advice centres really know the equipment they're being asked to advise on. But this is just my opinion.J.M.
