Have several books by this author, have not been disappointed with any of them -- and they tend to be expensive (and I tend to be cheap). This is specifically focused on the Tiger company of the Totenkopf Division. This unit served entirely on the Eastern Front from 1943 until the end in 1945. They initially served on the southern part of the central sector, participated in the Kursk offensive, the Mius, the defense of Warsaw and then ended the war in the southern sector of the Eastern Front. They were the only one of the three original SS Tiger companies not expanded to a battalion and they retained the Tiger I throughout the war where the other schwere SS abteilungen were later re-equipt with King Tigers. As a heavy panzer unit, they were not involved in some of the less pleasant activities associated with this organization. Good book. I recommend you buy this and the other books by Schneider, you won't be dissappointed.
