I really wish I could have heard Mozart play his own music. These player piano rolls are the next best thing to having great composers of an era before modern recording, show us how they played their own material. Here Ravel plays some of his best known compositions and they differ in color quite a bit from how others have since played them. The sonic limitations are worth dealing with, to hear the actual master play. I will be collecting as many of these as I can find.
